For long term value of your film it needs to be 16x9 HDV. Spending
bucks on any SD only format is a BIG mistake.

But why is the choice limited to JVC or 720p? Check out the Canon and
Sony HDV options thoroughly and get a full understanding of the
differences provided by 1080i and 720p. Also be sure to be fully
cognisant of 24p issues and indeed have your whole production path fully
joined up before jumping.
