You probably know this but the English dubbed version has been out in the US
on dvd for several years. Unfortunately, it's full screen and a pretty
mediocre transfer. I think Sony/Tri-Star has the rights for any further
release in the US and it's unlikely it'll come out again any time soon.
Also, the very nice Japanese region 2 dvd is now out of print and it appears
many of the other older Godzilla/Kaiju flicks released by Toho in Japan are
going OOP as well, either in anticipation of even better dvd releases in the
next couple of years or more likely HiDef transfers around 2010 when the
newest "reboot" of the Godzilla franchise is supposed to happen.
