One cause is damaged files. If you have a partially downloaded file and the
end of it is damaged because of how the download terminated, WinMX cannot
resume that download because your damaged file does not match the source
file despite the hash code in your temporary file name.
If this is happening with a partial file, if you've barely started the
download, delete the bad file and start over.
If you have a big investment in what's downloaded so far, right click on the
filename and use the Delete 10K from End option a couple times. This can
remove the damaged data and allow the upload to resume with very little loss
on your part.
