Yes, at the time the BBFC had a thing about headbutts. They offered it an 18
certificate uncut but Warners opted to cut approx 10 seconds out of it to
secure a 15 rating, and so make more money. They could have chosen to
resubmit it uncut to the BBFC for the Ultimate Matrix boxset, but they
didn't. As a point of interest, it's still rated 18 in Ireland, even with
the headbutts removed.
