I hate to disagree with a living legend (that's you, Roy!), but I think
the vocal was live. With all sorts of unique phrasing and inflection,
she was spot-on through the whole thing. As for pulling the mic away,
that may just be really good mic technique, knowing how close/far to
keep it for the relative volume. And in one spot, she pulls it away and
the volume does drop - about 2:45, as I recall.
