 The best method is to save the original DV tapes.
 Make duplicates (you won't lose anything as it's digital) and store the
 copies somewhere safe, preferably in a temperature & humidty controlled
 environment.
 The other option is to dump the footage to external hard drives.
 They're cheap these days and 2 x 250 GB drives would be enough to store
 30 hrs.  Once again, store the drives in a safe place and remember to
 check them periodically as drives have been know to go bad.
