Yes - get a real video editing program.
'scuse the blunt answer, but that 'thing' is, in my opinion, absolute crap.
The recording is mpeg-2, 720 or 354x480, bit rate 9mbps down to 1 mbps.
These are dvdr standards. However the file format is .vob, which WMM does
not support.
And even if you could read the files, WMM has a terrible interface, is
rediculously slow and only saves in its own proprietory format.
There are a number of video editing programs mentiond and reviewed here and
the the digital faq sites.
