This is a load of crap. Cable quality is the only thing that matters.
I have installations going back fifteen years that still work today on
the original hex crimp fitting.
Coax on the other hand, I just replaced 100 feet across a flat roof
that was six years old and the entire PVC outer jacket was GONE from
the sun!!! BTW: It still worked..100% braid. :)
As long as you seal it in an acceptable manner, the fitting means
nothing.
