Recently I received an email sharing all the great benefits of the new
"coupon on the return envelope" plan. One of the benefits it mentioned:
--When you return a movie in-store, the next available item in your Queue
will ship out right away. --
I've used the coupon on the envelope several times, and I find that this
isn't true. When I give my envelope to the store, it usually takes 2-3 days
more for Blockbuster to receive my movie, and only after that will they send
out the next movie.
If I mail the envelope, it usually takes 24 hours or less for the movie to
clear the queue, and for the next movie to be sent (I live very near a
distribution center).
Don't get me wrong -- I'm very satisfied with Blockbuster in general, I just
don't care for advertising that isn't correct.
I said "backpedaling" above because the Help at www.blockbuster.com has no
mention of the line above, "...will ship out right away." My guess is that
there was a breakdown in communications between techies and marketing.
