Hi
I have seen these cameras for sale for extraordinary prices and have
scoured the groups for information about them. The one I was thinking
of buying was 750 lines resolution PAL. Firstly I must say what I want
a camera for! As a film fan I want to get into producing 10 minute
shorts, then maybe longer productions (as cheaply as possible while
i'me learning). I must add I have no broadcast equipment experience.
So some of my questions are as follows:-
I know these are tube cameras and hence analog, but is it feasible to
transfer the full quality onto a PC to convert to digital and hence
edit digitally?
Are replacement tubes available and are they expensive?
What would I expect to pay for a Portable VTR. and are they a standard
connection?
Any help and advice would be welcome
