Thank you, Morgan. I don't have a cable box. The TV connects to the
DVD/VCR and from there directly to the wall outlet. I have tinkered with
the settings on the DVD/VCR but still get the distortion. It is almost like
the old 'horizontal width' thingy on 1960 Tv's needs some tweaking. Not
much, just a little.

Have you any idea what the 4:3 overide thing is?
