Composite video and other signals running at 75 ohms don't split well
with a passive splitter (Y-cable) - two outputs load it down too much.

Radio Shack and other stores sell amplified splitters for the video
signals, and they work well for me.

Make sure that the amplified splitter you choose has the right signal
inputs and outputs for your needs, and make sure you're willing to
spend the $30 or so they cost (IIRC).

If the other suggestions worked OK for you (like "just try it!"), feel
free to ignore the above, and have a nice solstice celebration,
whatever you choose :-)
