You can still ask for a chip and signature card - removing the pin out
of the equation entirely. The problem being ISTR the CC companies have
shifted the blame to the retailer for any non-pin transactions, so they
don't lose out themselves.
They don't like to promote chip and signature being available, but if
you do a search and include terms like "disability discrimination" i'm
sure you'll get some useful links.
I'm tempted myself to be honest - having all your cards with the same
pin is equivalent to zero security.
