I've tried asking an owner directly in response to a post that was 15
months old, so I'll repeat here.
If anyone has one of these mahines and has got it to work wireless
please can you help !
I just bought a secondhand Kiss DP1500 (one with a hard drive) and I
cannot seem to get it attached to PC-Link either using wireless or
ethernet connection.
I am using an ADSL router and the router can see the Kiss as I can
interrogate the router using my PC.
PC-Link is running on the PC and I have loaded up music and vids to the
list.
Checked the PC's IP address and that is set up correctly.
Enabled encryption and entered my key.
I read somewhere that I need to open up port 8000 (I got a bit lost
here but enabled TCP and UDP on my router for 8000). All I get on the
player is - cannot find PC-Link
If I use cable, I can get through to web radio and that works fine. I
just can't seem to get from the DVD through the router and then on to
the PC so it can see the PC-Link. With wireless I can also see the
device on the router but I cannot even get Web Radio that way !
