It could also be that your computer only takes "plus" DVDs (DVD+R and
DVD+RW), not "minus" DVDS (DVD-R and DVD-RW).
IIRC, it used to be that computers could only see "plus" discs and
standalone players could only see "minus" discs, but I thought the
latest generations could now see both.
