Did you mention DVD-RW before? I don't think so.
AFAIK there are only up to 4-speed DVD-RW disks. These MUST have
the correct (ver. 1.2) firmware, the older firmware will appear to burn
the 4x disc but the disc will usually at best only play the first third or
so.
