It all depends on the quality of the scaler in your TV. Your TV will do
the same job as the upscaling DVD player, but may do it better or worse.
For what it's worth, I much prefer to upscale stuff to 720p in my
Samsung DVD player than leave it to my Toshiba TV.
Which isn't much help, I know, but it really does depend.
