Can you play .mp3 CDs, or is it just the .mp3 DVDs that won't play?

See
http://www.home-entertainment.toshiba.co.uk/consumer/products.nsf/pages/dvd-combidvdvcr-sd-34vb?opendocument

When you click on MP3 or DivX, the explanation is ...

"MP3 Playback - DVD technology which allows MP3 encoded music
tracks to be played back via CD-R or CD-RW (model dependent)."

"DivX playback - Allows DivX encoded video tracks to be played back
via CD-R or CD-RW"

For .jpg formats, the explanation is ...

"JPEG Viewer - Enables viewing of digital camera images through a DVD
player via CD-R/DVD-R or CD-RW (model dependent)."
