We have recently made the transition to shooting more in HDV, and have
a few workflow questions.We edit in premiere Pro and Cineform Aspet Hd
(very nice, David Newman). Here are a couple of questions we had.
1- What do you do in order to save the project(including captured hdv
clips) for later Hd authoring when the medium becomes available? Is
there a way to save an HD file of the master edit (HD Mpeg file)? It
seems like the only options now would be to either save it on tape, or
keep the project and footage on a hard drive. Keeping them on a drive
would get very expensive, very quickly. What are you doing?
3-If we wanted to post a clip on a forum, or email it, or whatever,
what type of file or compression are people using? We created a wmv9,
but can't play it until we down load windows media player 11, plus that
would be too big to post, correct? For Sd we've always used Windows
media player or real player.
We'd appreciate any help.
