I have not checked recently, but there were a few FTA channels on the
Dish Network satellite located at 119-degrees. The NASA channel was one
and there was a religious channel and a bunch of audio-only music
channels which were freely available.
They should be receivable with an 18-inch dish but in order to receive
them you need to use a circularly polarized LNB such as the ones used by
Dish Network or DirecTV. I once had a setup that I could receive them
with, but I no longer have a circularly polarized LNB installed. I have
the LNB setting on a shelf and my plans are to re-install it someday when
I get some free time.
Good Luck in your efforts.
