Hi, the JVC TH-SW8 seems to be a home theater system with NO record
capability.

If you believe this is a recorder please check for a model number on
the actual recorder unit.

With most recorders I have used , you just put in a blank disc and
press the record button. Allow a little extra time for the system to
start recording.
