What part of "not configured that pile of crap correctly" needs to be
explained to you again?
If a newsreader does not disclose the default character set it uses, how do
you propose all the others should start to guess it?
Example: my headers include the line
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8
Guess what: All the other newsreaders suddenly know how to display my posts.
OE in its default setup will not disclose what it uses. Another example of
the extremely sloppy approach of those incompetent monkeys MS employs
