Spex,
What kind of graphics are you referring to - titles, still images,
etc.? I need to get ramped up on color sampling because I have not
taken the time to understand the nomenclature of 4:1:1, 4:2:0, etc.
It's really good to hear that you can shoot in HD but down-convert to
SD without any problems. I'd read somewhere that the down-converted
video was not as sharp as if you'd shot in SD to begin with. The
HVR-V1 is a bit more than I wanted to spend but I suspect that prices
will continue to decrease as new units come on line.
