Are you saying that the OP called Roy L. Fuchs can't even tell the
difference between a CD and a DVD? Incredible.

I said to use it very sparingly. But now that I know isopropyl alcohol
will do about as good, I no longer use acetone.

Only on a slick surface, like silver lacquer. If it is inkjet
printable you will just smear the ink.
