The Stanley Kubrick boxset -fully redone in Hi-Def.
I don't think it's likely in the near-future, since they were remastered and
re-re-released relatively recently on dvd, but there are a lot of (visual)
improvements still possible with all of those discs.
I know Full Metal Jacket is already out on hddvd, but it looks likely (to
me) that it's just a new version of the dvd release on a hddvd disc (?).
The only "review" of it I found was here
http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/fullmetaljacket.html, but I think that
"reviewer" is somewhat... er... thick.
His opinion on the film is fair enough, but when he says things like "To be
fair, 'Full Metal Jacket' is nearly twenty years old, and was made before
the era when CGI took over and made every movie look plastic and perfect",
then you know to take his quality-remarks with a pinch of salt.
