No, because of the outrageous DRM issues with. The content providers
control what equipment you may use to view their content, they control
the outputs and their quality settings, they may even disable devices.
And the hardware controls if you watch "unauthorised" movies and may
refuse to play. No thank you! At this stage, HDCP is mandatory with all
HD equipment, see

For me, HDTV and HDwhateverDisk only become an option only after the
DRM mechanisms have been irreversably hacked in such a way that they
become completely transparent to consumers, or the industry has
retreated them voluntarily. Of course, the format war has to be settled
as well, but that might be a minor issue in comparison. Also there
should be a few HD channels in the clear - preferrably the public
channels - to make it all worthwile. I guess I can wait some time until
all that has happend :)
