Yeah, but it's the most recent month....
here's the thing about it...setting aside all the hype, and looking at
long term trends as opposed to short term news hypes, HD-DVD simply
does not have the muscle to compete against Blue-ray, and that graph is
already starting to show that (notice how FLAT HD-DVD sales seem to
be)....
people here keep pointing out Sony, but completely forget that BLU-RAY
IS MADE UP OF SOME OF THE BIGGEST COMPANIES IN THE WORLD (many bigger
than Microsoft). These guys can afford to have short-term downsides,
because they can see that in the long term, they'll simply overwhelm
HD-DVD with the number of titles and players out there.
So, when they say, the game is over, they're not talking about today,
they're talking in the same way a chess player knows that his opponent
is already beaten even before other people may see it because they
focus only on the short term.
