I've been playing around with iClone since it was first released. Though
it's not really designed to be a 3D Studio Max replacement, I've been able
to get some pretty good character animation effects. The only down side is
you're pretty much stuck with with the characters, clothes, props and hair
that the publisher provides, unless you want to get into modifying it in 3D
Studio Max (there are cross-compiler tools provided). Of course, if you're
going to do that, you're better off doing the entire animation in 3DSM.
