For DVD equipment, TruTech used to be Target stores' private label brand
for equipment sold elsewhere under the Cyberhome brand. The tiny TruTech
DVD player was the Cyberhome CH-DVD300 or 320, and all 5 or 6 hardware
varieties of this model definitely played all media you could throw at it.
Since Cyberhome USA went belly-up, Target appears to be sourcing their TruTech
DVD player and recorder from another supplier, and it looks like things
have gone from mediocre to worse. Frankly, "in this day and age", it's
simply inexcusable for a new production DVD player not to read a properly
authored DVD-R video disc.
