What shortages are you talking about? There's been plenty of 360s since
March or April of 2006 - and that's despite them breaking the 10million mark
last year.
Shortages have nothing to do with the losses - if any - the company incurs.

They sell the console at a loss, but make up for it through licensing fees
collected on each software title sold. That's how it works. Please take
your own advice, and get a clue.
