Hi group,
I am trying to convert a magnetic tape recording to mp3.
First I produce a wav-file, then I normalize and convert it to mp3.
I have done this with CDex and with AudioGrabber, both with external
Lame encoder 3.97b.
The problem:
The mp3 file has too low volume.
Normalization seems not to work (in both programs!) because the volume
of the mp3 is similar to that of the wav.
I tried normalizing the max to 100% and the average to 90% - can't
hear any difference to the original wav.
How can I increase the volume of the mp3?
Is there any software I can use to increase the bass frequencies of
the recording?
Thanx,
Erich
