I heard a lot of horror stories recently about problems with Western
Union... people wiring the money and it being "taken out" at the other end
within minutes by A.N.Other.
There is no comeback from what I know, despite the fact that it's clear that
_their_ policy is not being followed in full re identification, etc.
I agree with Damon. If possible, he should write a cheque or get a bank
draft, then post that back (recorded).
Or if he had the bank account details of the person he was sending to, he
should be able to take these details to a local bank and transfer the money
directly into the UK account.
That would cost around $30 (+conversion-fee) I'd guess.
