Good for you, retard.

The formats are not for "Joe Lunchbucket", you diabolical, brainless
fucktard.

Absolutely not.
You obviously do not know what either of them are for either.
They are designed for HT high end A/V usage, and your fucktard
gaming consoles are an afterthought centered more around providing
richer textures and gaming experience through massive data storage
capacity more than anything else, dipshit. Watching movies week after
week on your game console is about as retarded a move as them telling
you that you could was. All it means for them is more repair sessions
that the customer will be paying for.
They (the consoles) do NOT process a movie as good a the dedicated
HT consumer product, nor will they *ever*. The audio is sub-par, and
the video barely qualifies.
So you can take your retarded "most consumers are dumb" attitude and
shove it right up your ass sideways, asswipe.
Most value conscious consumers will not buy such a high priced
gaming environ for their kids ( I won't be), and quality conscious
consumers WILL be.
I doubt you even know the difference between the two.
You likely rent your movies as well as your games.
What you know about "success" of an industry would fit onto the head
of a molecular probe.
