Mine lasted about 10 months, then when I would play a DVD it would
pause alot then it would skip whole chapters. After about two months
of that crap.......suddenly I was getting "disc problem" messages
EVERY time I would stick a pre-recorded OR blank disc in. I took it in
for service, and was told that the laser went bad, and that they were
replcing the whole dvd drive. Now, I only use the RCA recorder for
recording DVD's, and I have a separate unit (Daewoo) for playing
DVD's. What a piece of crap the RCA product was. DO NOT BUY RCA
PRODUCTS.
