well, to each his own...however, considering that Sony owns the
libraries of older films from MGM and Columbia, you again have to note
that as time passes the available titles (both old and new) from
Blu-ray will far outnumber those in Hd-dvd

and i can bet you universal is probably starting to consider blu-ray
films too, which means ALL the studios might at some point be producing
blu-ray films! At that time point, what would be the point at all in
using hd-dvd players????

Looking at it from a non-activist point of view, you have to admit that
based on all these, someone should lean most definitely towards
Blu-ray, as not only will you have a much LARGER range of choices in BD
as time passes, but there is always a danger that the ONE leading
manufacturer of hd-dvd (Toshiba), might simply throw in the towel
(especially given that it's losing money on every player it sells - and
we're not talking a game console here, where the game titles make up
the difference)....
