What you're effectively doing is to use the DIVX player to output the DIVX
files as an analog video signal which is fed into your DVD recorder and
recorded. Whilst the quality will suffer (digital to analog and then back to
digital), it'll certainly work. The only slight complication you may
encounter is if the DVD recorder doesn't handle NTSC and the DIVX files are
NTSC format (ie. 30fps). It might be worth setting the DIVX player to PAL
mode regardless.
