Usually happens to people who have just installed mxmonitor or leechhammer
(cant remember which) the utility program takes over the whois function to
find 'whois'nt sharing anything and kill them. Use the whois button in
leechhammer or mxmonitor(still cant remember) instead of the one in winmx,
problem solved.
