Thanks again! I will check it. There is also the region issue. That
asside DVD players are probably as cheap as heavy duty transformers.
My multistandard VCR will switch to 240 volts. I doubt my NTSC only
one will. It is a good unit and I would like to keep it.

Broadband is a must. I need data and VoIP acces. I already listen to
UK and US radio on broadband. I am not sure the quality compares with
over-the-air FM. I understand the FM tuner adjustment is technically
possible. I just don't know where to find a repair shop that would
know what to do.
