Hi guys,
Been tooling around with Vegas 7 for a few days. I like it so far,
but one thing troubles me.
I don't see a way to "unlink audio and video", as you can do, for
instance, in Adobe Premiere.
What I mean is: can I put a clip on the time line, then make it so I
can manipulate the audio and video separately? I need to do that to
do things like extending the audio past the point where the video is
visible, and vice versa.
I see that you can drop in audio and video separately from the
trimmer, but that's not quite what I want.... it would be annoying to
have to manually synch it up first before you manipulated them. And I
know you could do some of these effects by layering them on different
timeline tracks, but it's not as simple and direct as "unlinking" them
like you can do in Premiere.
I have to say, if there's no way to do this I will just go back to
using Premiere, or perhaps try Ulead or Avid Liquid.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Lee
