Just clip the lead wire going to the fan. those little fans don't do
squat. they should put a real fan in the dvd recorders that actually do
something. i would have a thin. but larger fan placed in a up position
over the mother board and dvd drive with plenty of air vents on the top
cover. and i would make it a removable fan so you can clean it when
taking the top cover off.
since their is no such fan in a dvd recorder today i just take the cover
off and use a small 10" box fan to keep my recorder cool while in use.
when im done recording i just put the cover back on. no biggie.
