a DVD recorder/player out there where I can record something off my cable TV
and play a DVD disc at the same time? My 5 year old Sony TV only has 1 input
for one DVD or VHS unit and 1 output. Right now I have a DVD recorder
connected directly to the TV and a DVD player connected into the front
inputs of the DVD player. Its a mess and a hassle with all these
remotes/connections. I only see VHS/DVD combos recorders (which I don't like
to use VHS tapes anymore) but don't see DVD/DVD recorder combo units. I hear
I can get a switch converter but this will degrade the picture (basically
going backwards in technology so to speak). Any ideas, comments and
suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
