I use almost nothing but Sony Premium. Like Ptravel, I never record on
the same tape twice, keep the camera away from dust, avoid abrupt
changes in temperature and humidity, and store tapes in a dry, cool
location.
I used to keep a box of audio cassettes that went "bad". I have never,
in seven years of recording miniDV, encountered a bad tape yet. Now
that I put it into words, I'm a little astonished myself, but it's true.
