This is incorrect.
The pro formats, Betacam, BetaSP and Digital Betacam, have nothing in
common with Betamax other than cassette size (for the smaller/
camcorder cassettes).
Even Sony's HDCAM retained the old Betamax size for smaller cassettes
--- but this is where similarities end.
