In NeroVision 4 , in the "Record Directly to DVD" window,
how do I:
(1.) enter parameters that will allow me to convert (burn) a 95 minute
MiniDV camcorder tape (LP), connected via firewire, directly onto
a single DVD-R? I have zero problem converting any tape < ~ 80 minutes,
but I can't find a way to set options to squeeze out that last 10 minutes
and get 720 x 480, and not the 352.
(2.) in the "Capturing Settings Configuration" window, there is
a "Configure Encoder" button that seems to do absolutely NOTHING
when pressed. Anyone know what's going on here? Do I need to go
purchase some more options, like an encoder? Note: in the same window,
my only options under "Resolution" are 720 x 480 (CCIR-601 D1) -and-
352 x480 (Half D1). So there is only one 720 option, I remembered more
in this app?
With the 720 & (AC-3) 2.0 - you can get ~ 85 minutes on a DVD, at least
that's
what I think the message is saying.
Geesh - this is the "absolute best" solution that I have found so far to
quickly rip
an unedited 1.5hr LP MiniDV camcorder tape "directly" onto a DVD-R in a
total time of
~ 95 minutes - the time it takes to read the tape! It's a dream solution
for simply
getting a 1.5hr unedited tape onto about a 100% stuffed DVD-R, with no menu,
and the skip chapters every 5 or so minutes that I require. Nothing could be
easier.
(It may also be a solution for pass-thru VCR, etc - where the 352 "may" be
OK?)
Help - I only need that last 10 minutes :-)
