We are thinking of buying a DVD recorder but aren't sure what we
should be looking for.
We definitely want one with a hard disk drive, but I don't think it
needs to be huge. We'll want a way of putting stuff from the HDD onto
DVDs - is it possible to connect a pc with DVD burner up in some way,
or is really only feasible if we buy a DVD recorder with both HDD and
DVD burner?
We thought we might want to get a PVR-type device that will allow us
to select what we want to record.
A friend says we should definitely get a twin tuner, and that seems
like good advice.
I was looking at the Wharfedale DVDRHD400 and the Digivision FVRT145.
They are similar in price; the first has the advantage of a DVD
recorder as well as HDD, the second has the advantage of PVR and a
twin tuner - but if it's difficult to get recorded material onto DVD,
that might be a reason not to go for it.
We're open to other recommendations in that price-range; I'm sure we
haven't found the best options ;-)
Thanks in advance :-)
