This is all true but seeing as there are no games out for the PS3 the
sales aren't that great. Considering the time of year and that a lot of
those games on the list have been out for a long time this isn't great news.
As for Play, there have already been online articles saying that it
sounds fishy that an online distributer has been hyping up a product
before launch. If Sony can meet the demand then good on them, but
preorders for both Xbox360 and Wii were cut drastically months ahead of
time by an email sent out to customers because of supply problems. So
therefore if Sony don't have supply problems they are of course going to
have more preorders than either of the other two. The guy at Play is
just putting spin on the figures to hype the product up at a time when
it is more difficult to sell machines.
Ps2 had a very soft launch from what I remember - you have to put
everything in context. Sorry for bringing it down to earth.
