Your over zealous statement makes no sense. What exactly had 'already been
out a month longer?' It's amazing how everyone wants to side step the facts
that PS3 is selling better than the PS2 did in the same amount of time, and
the price is doubled. By the numbers alone, this was a successful launch
for Sony and its negatively surrounded console. All the negative pub, and
they are still doing better than they did for PS2. And because PS3 was
outsold by all other consoles out there everyone wants to call DOOM for Sony
as a contender. Do you forget that the top selling console this christmas is
owned by Sony? And its a fact that they are making money on every single
"slim" PS2 sold these days, not to mention the money made from all those PS2
games already out there... add to the that 'must-buy' ps2 games that are
still coming out.
Just to recap, that's cash from PS2 consoles, PS2 games, PS3 games, and
Blu-ray movies. The only thing Sony loses out on is PS3 consoles. And by the
talk of the anti-sony people out there 'those consoles are just stacked up
in the store collecting dust!' So why should it be such a big deal that PS3
numbers arent as high as everyone else, when PS2 is still out there crush
the opposition and taking names?? Maybe you need to take a look at
'reality'.
I have no doubt in my mind that the PS3 is going to be just fine. This
spring and summer will prove that.
