I've put together a 25 minute video in PP1.5 with 3 video tracks and 5
audio tracks (2 mono - 3 stereo). I should have built 3 sequences as
the material naturally breaks itself to 3 "scenes" but like the rookie
that I am I built the project in the default Sequence 01 timeline. I
essentially want to build 3 additional sequences that break the
original sequence into 3 pieces. I have created three new sequences
and try as I might I can't seem to easily get material from Sequence
01 to any of the others sequences and still retain the previously
edited individual clips. I can get a copy of Sequence 01 which
consists of a single video and a single audio clip and chunk that on
the timeline and basically clip the portions that I don't want
leaving. Is this the only solution? I've read the PP 1.5 manual but
I can't find what I'm looking for.
I guess I built this thing backwards but I wasn't familar with how to
really use sequences as I'm basically starting out. Does anyone have
any suggestions? After downloading a trial version of Encore and
trying it out I think that I'll be better having individual sequences
in Premiere that I can export out indivual avi's for each sequence and
then use those avi's in a menuing scheme.
TIA
Mike
