I reckon that about 25% of new DVDs that I receive are 'rattlers'. Of
those, about 40% are so badly scratched that I just return them for a
replacement. I'm sure that they'd play OK, but it just doesn't seem
right. I blame the crap DVD case design. What was wrong with the CD-size
cases, FFS? Top offenders for rattlers for me are Play.com and CD-WOW -
in CD-WOW's case the last 4 DVDs that I've ordered have all been
rattlers, so I won't use them anymore. Sigh.
