I'd suggest one of two options:
1. Copy your "Sequence 01" 3 times, edit each of the new sequences to remove
the unwanted footage.
2. Select the clips for "scene one", hit Ctrl-C. Create a new Sequence and
hit Ctrl-V. Repeat for the other two scenes.
If this is what you've already tried, then I'm afraid I have no more
suggestions...
